What We Will Do

AquaTerra Outdoors is a design/build/management firm for outdoor living. They have a high-end exclusive niche, and easily offer the most value out of all firms in the DFW area. 

Our goal is to create a beautiful video that will not only entertain, but help AquaTerra screen and educate potential clients. We want to convey that AquaTerra creates one-of-a-kind outdoor environments and you are going to get the best product from them. 

Why We Do It

As a whole, our culture and our world is consuming incredible amount of film and video. At the same time, they're inundated with thousands of ads every day.

Our niche is in our ability to cut through all that clutter and get straight to the hearts and minds of a brand's target audience.

We bring meaning to the seemingly ordinary. 


 

Preface

We've prepared two different concepts for you to look over,
differing in scope, scale, and budget.
 


The idea for concept #1 is very simple. Through interviews with different AquaTerra employees/designers, we will tell the entire story of AquaTerra.

Concept #2 takes the idea behind concept #1 and goes even further. In addition to interviews with designers and b-roll of beautiful spaces, the video will be lead by a visual narrative.

This narrative will bring a new element to the video, following a family as they go throughout the routine of their daily life, finally walking outside and experiencing their beautiful outdoor space. This gives the opportunity for the viewer to experience the video through these characters.

The three layers of the video are as follows:


NARRATIVE (VISUAL STORY) short EXAMPLE:

  • A man is working hard in his office. He looks out the window at a beautiful day, longing to be outside.
  • We see a woman working in her house folding laundry. 
  • The man arrives home from work and is greeted by the woman and their son or daughter.
  • The family walks outside and is super happy to be enjoying their outdoor space.

INTERVIEWS (AUDIBLE STORY):

Option #3

 

 

(MULTIPLE VIDEOS)

 

Option 3 is a bit of a blend between Concept #1 and Concept #2 in that it will be driven by interviews with AquaTerra designers, builders, etc. (3 max) and beautiful b-roll of the outdoor spaces (ideally three locations) and of the design/build process.  It will also include some lifestyle b-roll of a family at one of the locations. 

The original intent of the videos remain and we hope that these videos will be a huge asset to AquaTerra as an investment. Our goal is to create a beautiful video that will not only entertain, but help AquaTerra screen and educate potential clients. We want to convey that AquaTerra creates one-of-a-kind outdoor environments and you are going to get the best product from them. Additionally, through the social media cuts we'll provide quality content that can be used to drive social engagement and brand awareness. Furthermore, MT will deliver a 1-minute informational talking-head video for both TerraCare and AquaCare that can be used on the website as an educational piece to drive brand understanding and engagement.

What's different from the last "Option #3?" 

  • Scaled back the concept to fit a smaller scope
    • From five days of production to three dayas
    • Three interviews instead of five+
    • Scaled back the narrative element so that it's now more simple lifestyle b-roll (half-day)
    • Because we'll be capturing less footage, AquaCare & TerraCare breakout videos will need to be more informational and will include less b-roll
      • About one-minute in length instead of two.
  • Only two 15-30 second social media cuts for the AquaTerra Brand film instead of three
  • Smaller crew size and smaller equipment budget (we'll be able to move faster but the quality may be a 9.5 instead of a 10)
  • MT will retain the ownership/copyrights of the footage after the completion of the project
  • Client is responsible for sourcing talent (for the lifestyle b-roll), providing lunches and craft services for the talent and crew, any/all styling and art direction of the outdoor spaces, and hair, makeup, and wardrobe for the talent (if needed)
